Fellow Community Members,

Thank you for your trust and your support in this past election. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve you, the residents of Ward 6, and to work with Council and the whole community to make Waterloo even stronger.

When I began this campaign on April 8, 2010, I set out to do it differently. I wanted to run a thoughtful campaign that thoroughly addressed the issues that matter to people in Ward 6, because I think you deserve more than sound bite answers to the difficult issues we face before giving someone four years to serve as your representative.

I know that our challenges are great, but our opportunities are even greater. And when we talk together as a community, when we ask thoughtful questions, and when we work to build consensus, I believe we can seize these opportunities and build an even better Waterloo.

I intend to continue using this website as part of continuing the dialogue we started many months ago, and I hope you will use it to continue the conversation with me. Please continue to share your ideas and your thoughts about what is working well, what needs work, and what our community’s priorities should be. I look forward to hearing more from you here and in conversations we will have in all parts of Ward 6 and Waterloo.

I thank you again for the trust you placed in me through your votes, and I look forward to working hard every day with you and on your behalf to keep earning your trust in the years ahead.
